Sooke Temperate Rainforest Tour

Ah! I was so happy that after ziplining, we got to go on this hiking tour. But compared to our Mt Doug hike, today’s hike was much easier! It felt like I was in a wonderland. The views were beautiful, and we had three guides, who helped us learn about temperate rainforests and biodiversity. Sometimes, we could see little animals, like squirrels, and we could hear song birds singing in the trees.

We also saw an otter, and we got to look at an ancient civilization’s rock art.  You will never believe what happened at the end of our tour… we came upon a meadow of daisies. Yes, daisies, just like my name. It was so beautiful. When you looked across the meadow, there was an opening between the trees, which gave us a great daisy-ocean view! I’ve never seen anything so beautiful before in my life! This was even more special for me, because if you don’t know, my English name is Daisy! So, for me, this meadow is mine!
